About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own day-to-day Data Privacy matters across Legend and provide practical advice to teams across its international business
  • Develop and strengthen Privacy frameworks, including ROPA, international data transfers, controller/processor contractual relationships and Data Processing Agreements
  • Partner with Product, Technology, Marketing, Commercial and People teams to embed Privacy into new initiatives and product support
  • Translate complex Privacy requirements into clear, commercially focused advice
  • Support commercial agreements, employment matters and other Legal projects
  • Improve Privacy processes, guidance and ways of working
  • Work with experienced lawyers and business stakeholders as a trusted point of contact for Privacy matters

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales or equivalent)
  • Approximately 1–3 years PQE
  • Practical Data Privacy / Data Protection experience
  • Knowledge of ROPA, international data transfers, controller/processor relationships and Data Processing Agreements
  • Genuine interest in building Data Privacy as a specialism
  • Strong commercial judgement and communication skills
  • Ability to translate complex legal requirements into clear, practical advice for non-legal stakeholders
  • Proactive and curious approach
  • Comfortable taking ownership, researching unfamiliar issues and knowing when to seek support
  • Experience within technology, digital, SaaS, gaming or another data-rich international business is advantageous but not essential
