About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct psychological assessments and clinical interviews, including documenting clinical findings
- Diagnose psychological disorders and provide evidence-based psychotherapy and consultations
- Conduct diagnostic interviews and therapy sessions using evidence-based and brief therapeutic models and consultation to management and other medical staff
- Provide current national mental health care referral capability/network information and resources, as applicable
- Develop and implement mental health related workshops and briefings, and facilitate group therapy, as requested
- Conduct pre/post deployment consultations, mental health briefings, and organizational consultation to components involved in high-threat and expeditionary operations
- Maintain complete, accurate, and current records of all clinical services rendered, including initial evaluations, progress notes, summary notes, and all other necessary documentation
- Consult with management and other medical staff as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy. D.) in Clinical Psychology
- Completion of an APA-accredited program
- Postdoctoral supervised experience, ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 hours, often in a clinical setting
- 5 years of post-licensure/certification experience
- Must have state licensure as a Psychologist to work at an independent level
- A current valid unrestricted counseling license/certification from one of the 50 U.S. states or D.C. that grants the authority to provide counseling services as an independent practitioner in their respective fields is required
- Experience conducting assessments and clinical interviews to include documenting clinical findings
- Ability to diagnose psychological disorders and provide evidence-based psychotherapy
- Strong clinical abilities, and enthusiasm for a collaborative approach to treatment
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Detail-Oriented
