About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, deploy, and manage virtual cloud infrastructures across hybrid Microsoft Azure environments
- Automate deployments and configurations using Infrastructure-as-Code and Configuration-as-Code tools
- Provision, maintain, and scale Azure cloud resources with cross-functional teams
- Monitor cloud utilization for cost efficiency and scalability
- Troubleshoot system, application, and infrastructure issues and perform root cause analysis
- Ensure infrastructure meets security, compliance, and operational standards within a DevSecOps framework
- Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate infrastructure automation into development lifecycles
- Implement and manage Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration
- Configure and maintain monitoring tools for availability and performance
- Optimize efficiency, latency, and uptime
- Apply IAM, network segmentation, and encryption security practices
- Assist with RMF, NIST, and ISO 27001 audits and compliance initiatives
- Provide Tier-2/3 support for escalated issues with internal teams and external vendors
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
Requirements
What you’ll need- US Citizen
- At least an active Top Secret security clearance
- Ability to obtain a SCI prior to start date
- Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience; additional years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree
- DoD 8140 Intermediate certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
- Intermediate Azure certification such as AZ-104 or equivalent cloud-provider certification
- Proficiency in VMware, Hyper-V, and OpenStack
- Proficiency in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud (GCP), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation
- Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, and incident management
- Understanding of VPCs, subnets, VPNs, and firewalls
- Practical knowledge of DevSecOps principles and best practices
- Preferred: experience with Air Force programs, DevSecOps security tools, OWASP/NIST and DoD regulations, expert cloud certifications, Azure Stack Edge, DoD networks, enterprise networking, IaC and security automation
