About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Review and evaluate system design documents, engineering configurations, and solution architectures developed by CDM integrators
  • Provide technical analysis and cybersecurity recommendations based on requirements, emerging technologies, future needs, and industry trends
  • Review and provide input to system requirements based on cybersecurity posture
  • Compile industry best practices and lessons learned into future designs
  • Apply IT Service Management experience to cybersecurity initiatives involving system design, development, and operations and maintenance
  • Work with the Senior Security Architect to align systems with enterprise architecture strategy and technical reference model
  • Evaluate infrastructure for security, availability, reliability, and performance and recommend improvements
  • Support deployment, configuration, and integration of cybersecurity data collection services and tools
  • Evaluate operations and maintenance activities and system performance
  • Collaborate with customer representatives, government stakeholders, external stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
  • Manage multiple assignments and changing priorities independently with little oversight
  • Evaluate and improve operating systems, hardware, software, and firmware solutions and advise on future purchases
  • Analyze technical issues at network, system, and application levels and recommend solutions
  • Review cybersecurity data flows, interfaces, data models, integration approaches, data quality, and normalization across CDM tools and enterprise data platforms
  • Draft technical documentation, reports, presentations, technical standards, and processes
  • Analyze security posture through vulnerability and compliance scans and recommend remediations
  • Support operations across multiple geographic locations
  • Mentor team members and support cross-team knowledge sharing
  • Review team-created documentation and diagrams

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have a Secret Clearance
  • Master’s degree with 15+ years of relevant professional experience OR a PhD degree with 13+ years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of experience directly supporting and interfacing with government customers
  • Experience with Azure and AWS services and components to build, manage, and maintain cloud environments
  • Understanding of cloud terminology, architecture, and tools, including installing, provisioning, and monitoring
  • Experience installing, configuring, securing, and troubleshooting Linux Operating Systems
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and drawing security insights from Qualys, Wraithwatch, and Databricks in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment
  • Experience utilizing Databricks Delta Lake pipelines (Bronze, Silver, Gold tables) to clean and structure CDM data
  • Understanding of AI/ML models in Databricks to identify security gaps and automate threat detection
  • Experience analyzing Qualys data fields, metadata, and scan values to map security telemetry into CDM data models
  • Experience identifying gaps in Qualys data outputs and improving asset reporting
  • Experience managing enterprise networks
  • Must possess a current DoD 8570/8140-recognized certification applicable to the assigned DCWF work role and proficiency level
  • Personnel supporting DHS must obtain an Entry on Duty (EOD) clearance
  • Preferred: familiarity with cybersecurity programs or federal IT environments
  • Preferred: experience with Tenable, Regscale, Tines, and Axonius
  • Preferred: Python and PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Preferred: PowerBI reporting and dashboards
  • Preferred: Splunk SIEM experience
  • Preferred: SQL and cybersecurity data querying across database platforms
  • Preferred: data modeling and mapping system data flows for cybersecurity analysis
