About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Integrate security practices into DevOps pipelines for DoD applications and ensure compliance with relevant standards
  • Implement and automate security tools and processes within CI/CD workflows
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat modeling
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to establish secure coding practices and security controls
  • Configure and manage SAST, DAST, and infrastructure-as-code security tools
  • Participate in incident response, monitor security alerts and incidents, and coordinate with cross-functional teams
  • Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on DevSecOps best practices and tools

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • US Citizen with at least an active Top Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain SCI prior to start date
  • Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 2+ years of experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Three to five years of professional software development experience
  • Strong understanding of software development paradigms, change management, version control, CI/CD, and Agile planning tools such as Jira or GitLab
  • Strong experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, network administration, and networking protocols/functions including HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SMTP, and DNS
  • Experience provisioning and managing IaaS/cloud infrastructure such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or similar tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with development teams and customers
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
