About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to verify software functionality, performance, and compliance with requirements in an Agile environment
Debug system level issues and provide detailed supporting data on identified issues
Document and track system defects and verify fixes
Understand System Level Requirements
Learn system architecture, design, functions and capabilities to support integration and testing of new capabilities and enhancements
Perform system checkouts in physical and virtual test labs to ensure systems are properly configured and ready for testing
Execute manual and automated regression test procedures after software modification, adaptation updates, and lab patching
Collaborate in a team-oriented, cross-functional Scaled Agile software development organization
Integrate and test software providing flight planning and other services to the pilot community
Support government programs in a highly regulated, safety-critical environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 4-8 years of professional experience; or 2-6 years of professional experience with a related master’s degree
Experience and familiarity with Agile methodology, principles, and tools
Developed and executed automated system integration and test solutions
Ability to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer
Experience in following a documented Integration and Test Development Process
Experience in building and maintaining automated test suites
Strong integration skills with hands-on experience integrating large software complex systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface with internal and external customers
US Citizenship
Desired: Air Traffic Control and Flight Service Experience
Desired: Knowledge of AI-assisted development workflows and tools (i.e. Claude Code, Codex, etc.)
Desired: Knowledge of air traffic control systems, general aviation, and/or flight services
Desired: Practical knowledge of FAA/DoD systems, technical policies, standards and orders
