About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Review technical energy efficiency applications for incentives and rebates for Ameren Illinois electric and natural gas customers
- Review energy-using systems within industrial and/or commercial markets, including HVAC, lighting, compressed air systems, and energy management systems
- Research technology changes to support improvements to the energy efficiency program and provide implementation improvement solutions
- Maintain working knowledge of the Illinois Technical Reference Manual and associated energy efficiency concepts
- Review existing energy savings methods for quality control and improvements
- Use independent judgment to verify technical requirements throughout various energy savings initiatives
- Coordinate and provide guidance to supporting teams regarding energy efficiency programs
- Work closely with contractors, suppliers, architects, and project engineers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Economics, Business Administration or related
- Six plus (6+) years of relevant experience
- Prior experience in energy efficiency or similar technologies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, especially Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work cooperatively on a technical team and with non-technical team members
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Strong planning, organization, time management, and team-building skills
- CEM or LEED certification preferred
- Understanding of utility-offered products or services preferred
- Experience working with commercial contractors preferred
- Experience with Advanced Lighting and Controls, Commercial HVAC, Compressed Air, or Industrial Process technology preferred
- Familiarity with the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) or ASHRAE Efficiency Standards preferred
- Experience with COMcheck, eQuest, Trane TRACE™, or Carrier HAP preferred
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software preferred
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills
