About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Join an existing team of web developers to provide full-stack web applications that support operational requirements
Document and validate web application requirements
Develop automated tests that align with test plans
Provide architectural design and development support to fulfill web application requirements
Participate in software design discussions and recommend relevant tools, technologies, and techniques
Aid in refactoring and updating existing web applications to add new features and improve reliability and performance
Ensure compliance with software security requirements by reviewing the cybersecurity posture of web applications
Design, build, test, and maintain web applications providing capabilities for U.S. Department of Defense test and training communities

Requirements

What you’ll need

US Citizen with at least an active Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree and 10+ years of prior relevant experience
Experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements
8+ years of experience developing, deploying, and maintaining full-stack web applications and software systems
8+ years of experience identifying and validating requirements for software applications
8+ years of experience with web UI components including HTML, CSS, JavaScript (NodeJS) and Angular
2+ years of demonstrated ability to design and build RESTful web services
8+ years of experience with Java EE/Jakarta EE integration, Servlets and JDBC
Experience with PostgreSQL or equivalent and SQL queries
Solid grasp of Object-Oriented Programming principles, Java EE (Streams, Lambda expressions), Collections framework, and Exception handling
Preferred: experience with Static Application Security Testing (OWASP, Coverity, SonarQube) and software security compliance
Preferred: strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming principles, Java EE (Streams, Lambda expressions), Collections framework, and Exception handling
Preferred: self-starter with strong analytical and interpersonal skills and test-driven development experience
