About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work with project managers and engineering leads to provide comprehensive Project Management Services for electric utility clients
- Develop, monitor and maintain engineering and construction project budgets for transmission and distribution projects
- Use earned value management techniques to align forecasts and costs, including developing recovery plans
- Share team utilization metrics and address utilization concerns with the Louisville Gas & Electric and Kentucky Utilities Center of Excellence
- Partner with Engineering Leads and Managers to track and execute client deliverables
- Develop and produce weekly/monthly project control reports for client and internal management review
- Interface with clients and internal management to report progress, schedule and risks across electrical distribution projects
- Assist project managers with comprehensive project dashboard reports and KPI tracking
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related discipline
- Three (3) + years of relevant project controls and/or cost analysis experience
- Recent and in-depth expertise in electric power infrastructure projects within transmission, substation and/or distribution design preferred
- Demonstrated work history of planning, organizing, directing and tracking technical efforts on assigned tasks
- Ability to track cost and schedule status of assigned tasks
- Ability to interact with customer representatives effectively
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency utilizing MS Project or Primavera P6 suite
- Heavy emphasis on MS Excel
