About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform configuration, development, support, and maintenance of the ServiceNow implementation
Work with external and internal stakeholders to understand, propose, and deliver digital transformation solutions
Support standup, configuration, and implementation of ServiceNow and Kibana dashboards
Create and maintain forms, reports, views, workflows, groups, and roles
Create and configure integrations with ServiceNow, including Elastic, Netcool, and Kafka
Coordinate and support application and platform upgrades
Design and configure functional dashboards and reports
Translate user stories into capabilities released to end users
Identify trends and patterns in customer data to improve customer experience and network performance
Troubleshoot and resolve problems; orchestrate and automate tasks
Design and build ServiceNow and Kibana dashboards and integrations in an Agile Scrum environment
Collaborate with engineers, developers, analysts, customers, and cross-functional teams
Maintain development documentation and coding standards
Support data migration
Design and implement solutions following Configuration Management policies and standards
Integrate multiple data sources into a unified CMDB while maintaining data quality and integrity
Mentor junior developers

Requirements

What you’ll need

Requires a US Citizenship
Hold an active security certification that meets DOD 8570 IAT level II or higher (i.e., Security+)
Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance
Must be able to commute to Scott AFB, IL, Ft. Meade, MD, or Ogden, UT for full time on-site support
Bachelor’s Degree with 8 – 12 years of relevant experience or master’s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience; additional years of work experience in lieu of degree is acceptable
At least 6 years of experience with the design, development, and support of dashboarding capabilities
At least 4 years of ServiceNow or Kibana development
Experience with ServiceNow upgrades
Excellent customer service skills and ability to work independently, prioritize, schedule, and complete multiple tasks
Ability to multi-task and self-assign work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills enabling proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team
Demonstrate potential and willingness to learn and adapt to rapid changes in technology
Willingness to assist and train junior developers
Preferred: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
Preferred: Experience or familiarity with Agile development and testing methodology
Preferred: Exposure to ServiceNow TSM, TNI, and OMT modules
Preferred: Experience with JIRA, Git, and Confluence
Preferred: Understanding of ITIL foundation or ITIL certified
Preferred: AWS cloud and ServiceNow certifications
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline
Preferred: Experience with large software systems including hardware integration and test
Preferred: Experience with multi-disciplinary technical development teams
Preferred: Experience using SAFe, legacy-to-new application migration, test automation, test-driven development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, Kanban, DevOps/DevSecOps, and CI/CD implementation
