About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead team(s) to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure web and mobile applications supporting mission-critical customer requirements
Build responsive front-end applications using Next.js, React.js, JavaScript, and CSS
Develop backend services and RESTful APIs using Python and Django
Develop and maintain content management solutions using Wagtail CMS and optimize PostgreSQL databases
Develop and support cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and native iOS technologies
Write clean, maintainable code; conduct peer reviews; troubleshoot complex issues; and implement unit, integration, and automated testing
Develop, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable applications within AWS
Collaborate with DevSecOps engineers on CI/CD pipelines, Docker deployments, cloud infrastructure, and application monitoring
Troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues while ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance
Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
Partner with Product Owners, developers, and customer stakeholders to establish sprint goals, prioritize work, and align delivery with mission requirements
Remove team-level impediments, manage technical dependencies, and address risks affecting sprint execution
Champion Agile best practices, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
Use Jira for sprint and backlog management, GitLab for source control and collaborative development, and Rocket.Chat for communication

Requirements

What you’ll need

US citizenship is required per contract
Active Top Secret/SCI with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience, or Master’s with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
5+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining modern web and mobile applications
Experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile technical lead, using Agile metrics to improve sprint execution, team performance, and software delivery
Experience mentoring developers, conducting technical reviews, and collaborating directly with government customers in mission-critical environments
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React.js, Next.js, HTML, CSS, Python, and Django for backend services and RESTful APIs
Experience with Wagtail CMS or comparable content management frameworks and PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
Experience developing cross-platform mobile applications using React Native and native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Xcode, and iOS SDKs
Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining applications in AWS, including S3, ECS, RDS, CloudFront, and ALB
Experience with Docker, Git-based source control, GitLab, and CI/CD development and deployment practices
Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration concepts
Demonstrated experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment, including facilitating Scrum ceremonies, supporting sprint execution, removing impediments, and contributing hands-on software development
Experience using Jira or comparable Agile project management tools
Strong understanding of secure coding, automated testing, code reviews, software integration, and troubleshooting across full-stack applications
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
Preferred: experience supporting software development programs within the DoD or IC
Preferred: CSM, PSM, SSM, or equivalent Agile certification
Preferred: advanced experience with Next.js, React.js, Django REST Framework, Wagtail CMS, and PostgreSQL
Preferred: experience with native iOS development, React Native, AWS optimization, GitLab CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and automated testing frameworks
