About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage a geographically dispersed workforce supporting the Energy Infrastructure and Automation Business Area
- Lead a team of Account Managers, Business Developers, Strategy, and Capture professionals
- Develop and establish relationships with customers, strategic partners, and teams across Leidos
- Identify, develop, and implement near-term and long-term business strategies to drive revenue growth and margin expansion
- Lead the team in winning new business with current and future energy customers
- Investigate and evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, geographic expansions, licensing, partnerships, joint ventures, new business and market opportunities, and sustainability initiatives
- Allocate resources between existing and new businesses
- Monitor markets and competitor developments and assess their impact on market share
- Identify gaps and emerging requirements; perform market and economic analysis and business intelligence
- Design and execute formal sales plans and monitor competitor activity
- Develop the overall Growth Strategy, internal and external partnerships, campaigns, and Energy Infrastructure marketing
- Lead Growth professionals in achieving short- and long-term business development goals
- Drive a robust opportunity pipeline and execute cost-effective win strategies to achieve annual financial objectives
- Partner with the P&L organization to ensure growth objectives and alignment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree
- 15+ years of related Growth experience, including leading business development teams
- Proven experience developing and growing a large portfolio with positive book-to-bill (>1) and sustained year-over-year growth
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple priorities
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead large and diverse teams while growing and developing people
- Demonstrated ability to attract and retain top talent
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Ability to create and establish mutually beneficial internal and external relationships with Leidos
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- College degree and 15+ years of professional experience
- Ability to gain internal support, operate independently with limited supervision and feedback, and establish solid working relationships with senior management, technical staff, division managers, and peers across Leidos
