About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide Tier 3 support to operations virtualization administrators
  • Maintain all hardware and software components at vendor-supported levels
  • Maintain expert knowledge of ESXi hosts, clusters, and vSAN
  • Support mission-critical Continuity of Operations (COOP)
  • Develop and/or participate in After Action Reports (AARs)
  • Provide expert advice and direction regarding management and operation of VMware clusters in the DISA CESO enterprise architecture
  • Evaluate current technologies and processes associated with DISA CESO to identify gaps
  • Provide requirements and strategies for future cybersecurity operations
  • Participate in meetings with DISA CESO and mission partner working groups
  • Adhere to applicable DoD STIGs, DISA orders, and JSIG policies, guidelines, and regulations
  • Support the CESO Task Order involving secure information sharing, commercial cloud migration, continuous development and integration automation, fourth estate consolidation, ITIL/DevSecOps-based processes, customer experience improvement, and service catalog development

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of directly relevant experience; additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • 6+ years of hands-on VMware experience in engineering, operations, and maintenance roles
  • Strong knowledge of VMware concepts and best practices
  • Experience working in a high op-temp, Top Secret environment
  • Active DoD TS/SCI security clearance
  • Willingness to take and maintain a CI/Poly
  • 8570 IAT Level II Baseline Certification (e.g. CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
  • VCP-VMware Certification desired
  • Prior experience with DISA and DISA’s support to mission partners
