About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee all responsibilities assigned to the Servicing Team
  • Manage daily loan operations, including payment processing, record reconciliation, escrow account administration, loan boarding, and collateral perfection
  • Supervise loan servicing specialists, conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and set performance goals
  • Ensure servicing activities comply with federal, state, and internal banking regulations and investor guidelines
  • Resolve complex borrower complaints, tier-3 servicing issues, and technical system problems
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies, update procedures, and implement tracking or core software tools
  • Collaborate with accounting, treasury, credit, portfolio management, collections, special assets, and origination teams
  • Service conventional loans on an ongoing basis
  • Ensure loans are boarded within required time frames
  • Ensure positive and negative reporting is provided to government agencies monthly and/or quarterly
  • Provide accurate, timely reports to Bank Partners, FHLB, SBA, and the State
  • Oversee RLOC draw processes
  • Manage post-closing loan processes, including updating the tickler report
  • Organize loan information for internal and external audits
  • Support preparation of packages for loans purchased by investors or banks
  • Ensure collateral is released and UCC filings are released upon loan termination
  • Manage customer retention and communication
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment
  • Perform other duties supporting efficient department operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or 7 years of equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of financial services work experience
  • Experience with Northridge Loan Servicing System is preferred
  • Detailed oriented and strong organization skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Sophisticated word processing and computer database skills, especially in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, operations and regulations
  • Strong analytical ability with active listening skills
  • Ability to work effectively with staff members and in a busy environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines, including extended work hours
  • Professional, business-like appearance and demeanor
  • Some travel may be required
