About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Produce quality work to prescribed standards while supporting continuous improvement and meeting customer commitments on schedule and within budget
- Perform entry-level assembly functions including prep, mechanical, harness, cable, printed circuit board sub-assemblies, spray application, and inspection
- Work from models and/or drawings within Production
- Perform simple assemblies and install hardware such as screws, washers, and nuts
- Perform pull-tests and verify tooling
- Use torque tools and interpret build documentation
- Assemble multiple units and perform basic troubleshooting
- Maintain a safe work environment by following safety procedures
- Participate in LEAN Events, “Six S” activities, and action teams as needed
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the organization’s mission, values, and culture
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Follow written work instructions
- Adhere to safety procedures, including WHMIS requirements for handling materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment
- Properly use required PPE
- Basic understanding of build documentation
- Ability to perform pull-tests and verify tooling
- Ability to use torque tools
- Ability to interpret and assemble multiple units
- Basic troubleshooting ability
- Ability to access production tools, routers, parts lists, and work instructions
- Ability to perform wire prep, auto bond, and sleeving
