About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead all engineering efforts for complex projects, delivering on time and within budget
- Ensure design compliance with project requirements
- Review customer specifications and requirements and lead project teams in developing designs
- Provide budget, cost, and schedule input for design assignments
- Communicate with manufacturing, supply chain, program management, and customers
- Participate in preparing complex and significant proposals
- Coordinate and confer with technical management, professionals, technicians, and support personnel regarding technical activities and progress
- Lead assigned project teams
- Support and reinforce the organization’s mission, values, and culture
- Attend engineering, customer, and business meetings
- Mentor and coach less experienced engineers
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree in engineering or related technical field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience
- Mastery of technologies and domain knowledge
- Knowledge and experience in multiple engineering disciplines
- Ability to independently lead a team of engineers on complex projects
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Active DOD security clearance or ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
- Preferred: Experience with MS Project
- Preferred: Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS)
- Preferred: Experience with Agile development methodology
- Preferred: Experience working with complex RF systems
