About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Receive material from suppliers
- Load and unload trucks
- Deliver materials to the appropriate department or location
- Review and verify shipment items against orders
- Confirm quantities, destinations, and delivery methods
- Document errors related to shipped and received orders
- Sort, count, package, and unpack shipped or received inventory
- Enter data into a computer system for tracking, logging, and verification
- Perform shipment and incoming-material tasks such as copying, filing records, and labeling inventory
- Assist with material storage and organization
- Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the organization's mission, values, and culture
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Obtain additional training as necessary, including hazardous-material handling and machinery operation
