About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build, test, debug, and maintain front-end applications and full-stack features supporting mission-critical radar and defense systems
- Develop user-facing application features using TypeScript, React, and related front-end technologies
- Integrate user interfaces with backend services, REST APIs, data sources, and system workflows
- Collaborate with backend, systems, integration, and test engineers to turn complex requirements into usable software features
- Translate limited requirements, CONOPS, and user workflows into practical application designs
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, documentation, and delivery of production-quality software
- Improve usability, reliability, maintainability, and consistency across application features
- Learn domain concepts including radar workflows, Linux-based environments, and mission-system operations
- Contribute to cross-functional applications used in demanding real-world defense environments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, plus at least two years of relevant software engineering experience, or equivalent experience
- Production user-interface development experience using TypeScript and a modern component-based framework such as React, React Native, or Angular
- Experience designing, building, testing, debugging, and maintaining user-facing application features
- Experience integrating front-end applications with backend services, APIs, data sources, or system workflows
- Experience with at least one backend or general-purpose programming language such as Node.js, Python, C#, Java, or similar
- Experience using Git and working in a collaborative software development environment
- Ability to learn complex technical domains, communicate clearly, and work effectively with software, systems, integration, and test engineers
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active DoD security clearance or ability to obtain and maintain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
- Helpful but not required: experience with dashboards, operator interfaces, engineering tools, data visualization, or workflow-heavy applications
- Helpful but not required: exposure to Linux, Docker, radar, sensor, defense, or mission-critical software environments
