About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct and synthesize qualitative and quantitative research
  • Analyze data and industry trends
  • Develop accurate, client-ready materials to support consulting engagements and strategic decision-making
  • Coordinate meetings and support project planning and implementation
  • Track deliverables and action items
  • Maintain project documentation
  • Facilitate communication among project teams and stakeholders
  • Research prospective clients and opportunities
  • Assist with proposals, qualifications packages, and other business development materials
  • Assist Associates and Senior Associates with project coordination, scheduling, meeting preparation, follow-up, and high-quality deliverables
  • Support consulting projects focused on housing, homelessness, community development, public policy, and related initiatives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, real estate, urban studies/planning or public policy or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 0-2 years relevant professional, internship, fellowship, research, or consulting experience
  • Experience conducting research, data analysis, policy analysis, or project support activities preferred
  • Experience in affordable housing finance, project financial proformas, current policies/programs and funding sources preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint) required
  • Proficiency with web-based project management tools such as ClickUp or Harvest preferred but not required
  • Ability to work Monday-Friday, eight hours per day, during Pacific Standard/Daylight Time
  • Occasional travel may be required
