About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and evolve product strategy for defined Commerce Platform capabilities
  • Translate customer, business, and commercial needs into scalable technical products and platform capabilities
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture to shape platform strategy and address constraints, trade-offs, and long-term risks
  • Balance near-term needs with foundational platform investments, technical health, scalability, reliability, and maintainability
  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from discovery and strategy through implementation, launch, adoption, and continuous improvement
  • Translate product strategy into technical requirements and executable work
  • Manage the product backlog, including epics, user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, and sequencing
  • Make prioritization and trade-off decisions across scope, value, cost, complexity, risk, and time to market
  • Track post-launch outcomes, adoption, operational data, and partner feedback
  • Evolve Commerce Platform capabilities toward modular, scalable, and reusable services
  • Champion API-first, domain-driven, and event-driven approaches
  • Define contracts and interfaces between platform capabilities and consumers
  • Guide transition from legacy commerce capabilities to next-generation services
  • Manage dependencies across upstream and downstream systems, consumers, and teams
  • Account for the broader commerce ecosystem, including product information, inventory, order management, identity, payments, fraud, pricing and promotions, search, analytics, and customer data
  • Build agreement across partners and communicate strategy, roadmap, priorities, decisions, risks, and outcomes
  • Represent Commerce Platform capabilities in senior planning and roadmap conversations
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners
  • Define measurable outcomes and KPIs for adoption, reliability, performance, operational efficiency, developer experience, and growth
  • Use product, operational, and engineering data to inform prioritization and investment decisions
  • Evaluate industry trends, technologies, and commerce platform capabilities
  • Explore automation and AI opportunities to improve platform capabilities, discovery, productivity, documentation, and operations
  • Establish a clear roadmap and help evolve the platform toward clearer domain boundaries and a modular, scalable architecture

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience in Technical Product Management, Product Management for technical platforms, or a related role
  • Experience managing product strategy and roadmaps for complex technical products or platform capabilities
  • Technical fluency and ability to participate in architecture and system design conversations
  • Experience with APIs, distributed systems, integrations, and modern platform architectures
  • Ability to understand complex systems and identify upstream and downstream dependencies
  • Experience translating ambiguous business and technical problems into product strategies, requirements, roadmaps, and executable backlogs
  • Experience using data to support product decisions and measure outcomes
  • Ability to influence across multiple teams and organizational boundaries
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and trade-offs to senior business and technology leaders
  • Experience building technical products or platform capabilities within digital commerce, retail, or another large-scale transactional ecosystem
  • Experience with commerce platform modernization, migration, or replatforming programs
  • Familiarity with SAP Commerce (Hybris), SCAYLE, or other headless or composable commerce platforms
  • Experience with domain-driven design, API-first platforms, event-driven architectures, and modern integration patterns
  • Familiarity with commerce domains including product information, inventory, cart, checkout, payments, fraud, promotions, identity, search, order management, and analytics
  • Experience building platforms or services consumed by multiple products, channels, markets, or engineering teams
  • Experience working in global environments with distributed engineering and product teams
  • Experience managing strategic relationships with technology vendors and external partners
  • Experience using AI and automation to improve product management, engineering productivity, or platform operations
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire
  • Must not require current or future employment visa sponsorship
