About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Digital Content Manager with development and deployment of market-critical, innovative learning content
  • Develop content for Sherpath courseware, Elsevier Adaptive Quizzing, and other digital products
  • Manage assigned digital projects from inception through production release
  • Serve as day-to-day contact for internal and external digital content development partners, including SMEs, Instructional Designers, and global content vendors
  • Plan digital content development and delivery cadence
  • Participate in stand-up meetings with content development partners
  • Ensure lead and peer review SMEs deliver work products on schedule
  • Identify potential SME issues and help develop risk-mitigation approaches
  • Manage and consolidate SME reviews and query SMEs and outsourced vendors to ensure quality, on-time delivery
  • Suggest improvements to writing, assessment, and instructional design guidelines
  • Perform high-level reviews of outlines, assessments, and content storyboards
  • Coordinate permission and art research
  • Coordinate classification mapping, EAQ, and ancillary mapping tasks
  • Coordinate delivery of build content and oversee UAT fixes
  • Ensure gold delivery of assigned course products
  • Support on-time delivery

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • B.A./B.S. in English or related area
  • Two or more years’ experience with digital content development
  • Experience with media, including online courses and multimedia
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Flexible and creative approach to problem solving
  • Resourceful, decisive, and attentive to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to foresee and avert problems
  • Ability to manage SMEs and interact professionally with SMEs and colleagues
  • Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously
  • Flexibility to deal with high velocity situations without feeling overwhelmed
  • Ownership of projects throughout the content development process
  • Knowledge of the publishing process and MS Office
  • Some familiarity with EPUB, HTML5, HTML, XML, and AI-assisted authoring or content tools
