About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsibility for purchasing a product category within the meat and sausage products segment
- Independently conducting price and contract negotiations as well as annual supplier reviews
- Ensuring the timely availability of the product range
- Developing the product range based on current trends and regional and sustainable market conditions
- Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers
- Maintaining close collaboration with suppliers and related departments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master craftsperson qualification in butchery and/or a completed degree in business administration
- In-depth knowledge of meat and sausage products, game, poultry, and related product categories
- Several years of experience in meat and sausage purchasing, ideally in food retail
- Experience in supplier management
- Initial leadership experience
- Results-oriented, structured, and organized approach to work
- Team player
- High level of motivation, commitment, flexibility, and ability to work independently
