About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead land origination for energy storage projects, from site identification through contractual securing of land rights
- Identify and qualify land opportunities using GIS tools, particularly near grid substations
- Conduct initial site assessments and eliminate unsuitable opportunities
- Review applicable planning documents and environmental constraints
- Identify relevant private, industrial, and public-sector landowners and authorities
- Initiate contact, present projects, and lead land negotiations
- Negotiate lease or purchase option agreements and oversee their formalization
- Coordinate the preparation and execution of legal documents with notaries and lawyers
- Present projects to elected officials and government agencies to support understanding and integration within the local area
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s to Master’s degree in urban planning law, real estate, business, or equivalent
- At least 3–5 years of experience in renewable energy project development or real estate development
- Proven expertise in land sourcing and negotiation with private landowners, industrial owners, and public authorities
- Proven expertise in securing land rights, particularly lease or purchase option agreements
- Strong knowledge of and experience analyzing PLU and PLUi planning documents and zoning regulations
- Proficiency with GIS tools for identifying and qualifying land parcels
- Experience overseeing contract formalization with notaries and lawyers
- Proven ability to facilitate territorial dialogue with elected officials, local authorities, and local stakeholders
- Frequent travel throughout France
