About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ensure that direct and indirect production costs are properly allocated to inventory by monitoring production postings and developing reports and performance indicators
  • Identify and investigate variances between planned and actual costs, explaining differences and recommending corrective actions
  • Calculate inventory-related provisions in accordance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Support the physical inventory count process and record identified adjustments
  • Ensure compliance with the accounting close schedule through effective processes and performance indicators
  • Support decision-making by other departments by clarifying financial impacts and providing financial information
  • Reconcile accounting balances, identifying and correcting discrepancies or errors
  • Analyze account variances and explain identified trends
  • Propose and implement process improvements and automation initiatives within the department
  • Support internal and external audits by providing requested information and documentation

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Knowledge of SAP, particularly the CO and FI modules
  • Experience in cost accounting
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Experience with the monthly accounting close process
  • Experience improving and automating departmental processes
