About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on project requirements, user stories, and technical specifications
Identify and document test scenarios, edge cases, and potential risks
Execute manual tests, including functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Identify, record, document, and track defects through resolution
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for recurring testing tasks
Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline with the development team
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to understand software features and functionality
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Report, track, and prioritize defects in defect-tracking tools
Verify fixes and ensure defects are resolved in a timely manner
Maintain test documentation, test results, and coverage reports
Provide testing progress and findings updates to the team
Contribute to improving QA processes, methodologies, and tools
Stay current with testing trends, tools, and technologies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, including both manual and automated testing
Familiarity with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar)
Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.)
Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git) and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla)
Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
