About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, and deploy backend services and APIs using AWS serverless technologies, including Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB
Build and maintain Python/FastAPI services powering LLM-based applications such as D&O Copilot
Apply agentic engineering practices, AI coding agents, and automation tooling to accelerate delivery, strengthen testing, and modernize API products
Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver products and services
Support and share knowledge with junior developers
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, scalability, and security standards
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to ensure application reliability and performance
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends and advocate for best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in backend, API/serverless, and LLM-powered application development
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to new challenges
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js, building serverless applications on AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and EventBridge
Strong proficiency in Python, including FastAPI and Pydantic, for building LLM-powered services
Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, including DynamoDB and PostgreSQL, and AWS services
Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally AWS CDK, is a strong plus
Experience with automated testing using Jest and pytest and CI/CD pipelines
Familiarity with OpenAPI/REST contracts and ESLint/Prettier is a plus
Interest in agentic engineering and LLM-based solutions, including AI coding agents, Copilot agent mode, and MCP tooling, is a strong plus
