About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Investigate and evaluate coverage, liability, damages, and settle Bodily Injury claims within prescribed authority levels
Pursue proactive contact with injured parties to connect, listen, empathize, and make early settlement offers when appropriate
Identify potential suspicious claims and refer them to SIU
Identify opportunities for third-party subrogation
Communicate with policyholders, witnesses, and claimants to gather claim information
Refer tasks to auxiliary resources and advise on the proper course of action
Send and respond to written, telephone, and SMS text inquiries to resolve claims
Ensure adequacy of reserves
Maintain security of financial claims processing and information in claims files
Use loss management tools and techniques for accurate decision-making
Keep files updated with clear documentation throughout the claim life cycle

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong written and oral communication skills
Good interpersonal, analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills
Growth mindset and ability to adapt to change, including new standard work and tools
Basic knowledge of legal liability, general insurance policy coverage, and State Tort Law preferred
Liability experience or policy and claims knowledge preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Ability to obtain proper licensing as required
Reliable attendance and active engagement during mandatory training
Residence within a 50-mile radius of the Chandler, AZ or Scottsdale, AZ office
