About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead projects through the full project life cycle within defined scope, schedule, and resource constraints
  • Support the new Student Information System (SIS)/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program in IT Development
  • Own organizational readiness and adoption for Liberty's multi-year SIS/ERP replacement effort
  • Establish the SIS/ERP program's change management framework
  • Create and implement a stakeholder engagement plan
  • Establish and manage governance and accountability for decision making and committee establishment
  • Coordinate readiness activities with development teams and departments
  • Create and iterate through the impact assessment process
  • Define adoption risk categories and track mitigation plans
  • Build a communication strategy and calendar with the communications team across the university
  • Define readiness KPIs and scorecard criteria; measure participation and engagement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage risks and progress, and align projects with university priorities and stakeholder expectations
  • May supervise 5+ people
  • Adhere to Liberty University policies and represent the University professionally
  • Work effectively as a team member while embracing and fostering LU’s Christian model and Mission – Training Champions for Christ

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong technical experience with subject matter expertise across multiple systems, processes, or products
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall, or hybrid frameworks
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience is required
  • PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or CSPO
  • 5-6+ years of project management or related professional experience is required
  • Experience in change or release management, preferably on a large, cross-institutional level
  • Proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing English
  • Strong interpersonal and public communication skills
  • Proficiency in standard office software and relevant project/program management tools
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to perform desk-based work, including computer use and data entry
  • Ability to communicate effectively in meetings and collaborative settings
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable DMV record, LU Driving Approval, and liability insurance are required when driving in the performance of the employee’s position
