About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage and grow the Clinical Operations team by setting clear priorities and organizing day-to-day activities.
Anticipate workload and manage production capacity to minimize bottlenecks and absorb fluctuations in volume.
Build management tools to track patient volumes, processing capacity, error rates, blockers, and team workload.
Build and coordinate a continuous improvement roadmap to progressively increase processing capacity.
Champion the roadmap with Product, AI, and Engineering teams, track R&D deliverables, and ensure improvements are implemented.
Ensure cohort quality and contribute to preparing data exports for research projects.
Develop a detailed understanding of the Clinical Operations workflow, reduce errors and bottlenecks, and support growth from 100–200 to 300–600 structured patient cases per week without tripling resources.

Requirements

What you’ll need

A successful track record in a startup or scale-up, in an environment where processes, tools, and responsibilities had yet to be established.
Hands-on experience with Real-World Data / Real-World Evidence, ideally involving the creation or use of patient cohorts.
A healthcare or scientific background enabling you to understand the challenges associated with medical data and clinical research.
Proven experience managing an operational team.
Experience structuring and managing a complex activity using data and KPIs.
The ability to turn a highly specific operational problem into a structured improvement plan.
Experience working closely with Product, Data/AI, or Engineering teams.
The ability to drive a cross-functional roadmap forward and establish accountability for deliverables.
Nice to have: Background in data management, biostatistics, epidemiology, or a related scientific field.
Nice to have: Experience structuring registries, healthcare databases, or RWD cohorts.
Nice to have: Familiarity with clinical research and interactions with health authorities.
Nice to have: A strong understanding of how AI and engineering are applied to healthcare data.
