About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide outpatient psychiatric care for adult or child/adolescent patients
- Focus on patient care while support teams handle billing, technology, credentialing, insurance authorizations, scheduling, and payment collection
- Set scheduled hours and appointment lengths
- Build a caseload aligned with interests and areas of expertise through the Care Matching model
- Integrate psychotherapy into everyday psychiatric practice as appropriate
- Collaborate with therapists, neuropsychologists, and psychiatric nurse practitioners
- Participate in Grand Rounds and weekly consultation hours with clinical leadership
- Supervise newly graduated PMHNPs where interested
Requirements
What you’ll need- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine
- Board Certified/Board Eligible (within 3 years of completing residency) in Adult or Child/Adolescent Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- A valid medical license in Massachusetts (or willing to obtain prior to start date)
