About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build tooling for managing and monitoring thousands of servers running dozens of services
Develop host provisioning and configuration systems
Enable rapid code deployment
Build service configuration and monitoring tools
Automate code testing and linting
Own infrastructure powering real-time data pipelines moving hundreds of TB of data daily
Have end-to-end ownership of projects
Collaborate with a small team of engineers
Ship code multiple times a day and measure its impact on users and revenue
Participate in engineering excellence through testing, explainable systems, and code review
Develop expertise in Go and open-source technologies

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong coding ability; experience in Go is a plus but not necessary
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields
5+ years of software engineering experience
Solid computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and systems architecture
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience building high-scale distributed systems and backend architectures
Genuine interest and/or experience debugging and troubleshooting complex distributed systems problems
Expertise in managing Kafka is nice to have
Expertise in data is nice to have
