About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design and build engaging applications for Android and iOS platforms
  • Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs, third-party libraries, and cloud services such as Firebase
  • Collaborate with the third-party development team on new features and releases
  • Develop, maintain, and extend cloud server applications and infrastructure
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and test engineers
  • Adhere to coding best practices and standards
  • Conduct code reviews
  • Maintain clear documentation for future upgrades and utilization
  • Architect the user experience for vehicle controls
  • Transform Lightship RV telemetry data into an intuitive mobile interface
  • Contribute to development and implementation of cloud infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Proficiency developing with Kotlin for Android
  • Proficiency using Figma for UX design and mockups
  • Experience using Flutter for cross-platform application development
  • Experience with UI design and reactive UI patterns
  • Experience with ProtoBufs, MQTT, WebSockets, and restricted-bandwidth data protocols
  • Experience with Embedded Linux and Linux system services
  • Experience with databases such as SQLite
  • Experience using Git and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills
  • Hands-on experience with AWS IoT Core and Lambda
  • Proficiency in C# and Python
  • Familiarity with Ethernet, WiFi, LTE, and Bluetooth
  • Familiarity with GTest Framework or equivalent
  • Experience with XCode and TestFlight
  • Experience working with cross-functional software, hardware, test, and manufacturing teams
