About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) procedures and actively participate in risk assessments
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical components, inverters, modules, CCTV/security systems, monitoring systems, and structures
- Provide detailed reports according to Lightsource BP standards; reports can be prepared remotely
- Deliver electrical maintenance services across a specified region, with occasional travel to other regions for additional support
- Assist in compiling insurance and warranty claims
- Take full ownership of assigned sites
- Manage relationships with local subcontractors
Requirements
What you’ll need- Electrically trained with qualifications such as BS7671 and Level 3 Electrical NVQ or equivalent (e.g., completed apprenticeship, IET)
- Ability to safely pass LV1 assessment
- Clean, full driving licence
- Recognized electrical qualifications, such as City and Guilds 2382-18 (18th Edition)
- HSE awareness
- Ability to work remotely without close supervision
- Comfortable working outdoors
- Desirable: Experience as an Electricians Mate, industrial PV installation maintenance, inverter maintenance, and HV switching
- Advantageous: Experience working at heights
- Any inverters maintenance course and testing/inspection certification 2391 are advantageous
- Team player with good time-management and punctuality
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively
- Proactive, autonomous, and initiative-driven
- Problem-solving attitude and technical curiosity
- Positive, adaptable, and willing to learn
- Passionate about renewables (highly desirable)
