About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support a project investigating PV module behaviour through testing and operational data analysis
  • Analyse laboratory and on-site test results
  • Help develop further testing programmes
  • Assist with project logistics by coordinating with internal teams and external partners
  • Share technical insights and findings with the wider project team
  • Assist with project management
  • Analyse performance data from field-tested PV modules and provide technical recommendations for ongoing testing phases
  • Read relevant reports and papers to gain further technical insights
  • Communicate and attend meetings with others working on the projects
  • Support project coordination and administration
  • Provide feedback to the line manager and team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Knowledge or experience of renewable energy, solar PV, or semiconductor technology
  • Basic understanding of how solar PV devices work
  • Ideally some research experience, which can be from within the bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Data analysis experience
  • Project management
  • Critical assessment of reports and literature
  • Ability to practically apply engineering concepts
  • Problem-solving and analytics
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Skills in Excel or other data analysis software such as Python, Power BI, or R
  • Team working
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-motivated
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Having or working towards a degree in physics or engineering, with electrical or renewable energy preferred, from an accredited college/university
  • Six-month fixed-term internship
