About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own and manage assigned committees and collaboration groups, including program content, meetings, processes, documentation, and recordkeeping
- Partner with committee chairs, senior executives, and internal stakeholders to establish priorities and develop relevant programming
- Deliver a high-quality member experience
- Plan and facilitate meetings, roundtables, and forums, including agendas, presentations, supporting materials, and follow-up
- Evaluate collaboration group strategies and performance to identify and implement opportunities for improvement and growth
- Oversee communications and promotional plans supporting member acquisition, engagement, and retention
- Monitor membership workflows, ensure timely responses to inquiries, and oversee recruitment and retention campaigns
- Analyze member participation, feedback, and industry trends to inform programming and organizational recommendations
- Create, manage, and reconcile budgets for assigned groups
- Lead cross-functional initiatives and provide guidance, coaching, and direction to others involved in program delivery
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least seven years of progressively responsible experience in insurance, financial services, associations, membership organizations, professional services, or a related industry
- Experience managing executive-level committees, advisory councils, member communities, working groups, or similar programs
- Demonstrated success developing programs, facilitating meetings, and building relationships with senior executives and industry leaders
- Experience supporting member or client acquisition, engagement, and retention strategies
- Experience managing projects, communications, budgets, and multiple priorities
- Leadership experience guiding, mentoring, developing, or directing the work of others through direct or matrixed relationships
- Strong relationship-building skills and credibility with senior executives and industry leaders
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
- Member-focused approach with the ability to improve acquisition, engagement, and retention
- Strong business, financial, analytical, and program management skills
- Ability to influence, coach, delegate, and drive accountability through others
- Excellent judgment, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution
- Ability to travel 30%
