About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure data quality across the team, supporting the growth of the active customer base
Ensure business decisions and internal models are grounded in accurate data
Build an understanding of Brazilian Open Finance data through organization, testing, and advanced data processing
Enhance Open Finance data pipelines, transforming raw information into features for LINA’s products
Work on credit risk modeling, transaction categorization, and language model projects
Continuously improve data quality and internal processes
Develop and maintain financial transaction categorization pipelines
Build features derived from Open Finance data for products and internal models
Prepare features and pipelines for modeling initiatives
Collaborate with the data squad to prioritize and resolve requests
Document pipeline transformations, business rules, and technical decisions
Monitor the health and performance of production pipelines and propose continuous improvements
Generate insights, models, and metrics for clients

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field
Hands-on experience with data quality maintenance and improvement processes
Experience building and maintaining data transformation pipelines in production environments
Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary data team, with direct interaction with business and/or modeling teams
Advanced SQL
Python
dbt or an equivalent data transformation tool
Git/version control
Strong attention to detail and rigor in data verification
Proactive approach to identifying and proposing improvements before they become problems
Ability to collaborate daily with diverse teams and on varied topics while staying focused on delivery
Curiosity and a genuine interest in learning new domains, with the ability to work effectively at the intersection of data engineering and data science
Strong organizational skills and autonomy in managing multiple workstreams
Preferred: experience improving data quality in production environments
Preferred: experience with statistical modeling and machine learning applied to different domains, including credit, categorization, and NLP
Preferred: experience with data testing, such as dbt tests, Great Expectations, or an equivalent tool
Preferred: familiarity with MLflow or an equivalent experiment tracking tool
Preferred: experience working with Open Finance data, including statements, bills, cards, and consent data
Preferred: experience with a modern analytics stack, including pipeline orchestration and columnar data warehouses
