About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Inspect manufactured products, processes, and raw materials to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction
- Provide customer support and conduct technical visits to investigate complaints or verify the use of welding consumables
- Provide occasional assistance with organizing inventory and nonconforming documents (Warehouse 97)
- Participate in nonconformity investigations
- Visit customers to resolve issues involving welding consumables
- Collect consumable samples and perform product quality checks
- Conduct visual inspections of electrodes for finish, coating, and stamping
- Verify electrode dimensions, including eccentricity
- Measure coating percentage and perform moisture tests
- Perform particle-size distribution, density, dust, particle-breakage, and alkalinity tests on fluxes
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma
- Currently enrolled in a technical course or technologist program in welding, inspection, quality, industrial technology, or a related field
- Training in technical drawing/reading and instrumentation/metrology (caliper, micrometer, etc.) is preferred
