About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a strategic partner to large-market retirement plan clients with plans over $250 million
  • Develop and deliver business plans, proactive plan reviews, education strategies and plan-design guidance
  • Lead an experienced internal service team
  • Coach and mentor other relationship managers
  • Navigate successful issue resolution using organizational and leadership skills
  • Use solution-selling techniques to optimize new business opportunities, product enhancements and profitability within existing relationships
  • Form new client relationships and ensure appropriate pricing and service offerings
  • Strategize on plan optimization with a focus on client satisfaction and retention

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in relationship management directly aligned with the role
  • Proven strong relationship management skills and ability to build rapport quickly
  • Proactive management of plan goals
  • FINRA S6 and S63 required within 90 days of hire
  • Life & Health licenses required within 120 days of hire
  • Strong working knowledge of ERISA and IRS rules and regulations affecting retirement plans
  • 4-year/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; 4 years of experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree, in Business
  • Ability to travel to clients up to 50% of the time
  • Strong working knowledge across 401k, 403b and 457 plans preferred
