Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and grow relationships with brokers, consultants, advisors, and employer groups to expand Lincoln's Group Benefits business
  • Develop and execute a territory sales strategy that drives new business, increases market share, and helps exceed sales goals
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities by understanding the market, prospecting target firms, and positioning Lincoln's employee benefits solutions
  • Educate partners on Lincoln's products, services, and value proposition as a trusted benefits expert
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver a seamless experience from sale through implementation and ongoing service
  • Strengthen and expand existing relationships by identifying retention, cross-sell, and growth opportunities
  • Represent Lincoln in the marketplace through client meetings, industry events, networking opportunities, and professional organizations
  • Provide market intelligence and client feedback to help shape sales strategies, improve processes, and enhance the customer experience
  • Resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally while maintaining a positive experience for partners and clients
  • Track activity, manage the pipeline, and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
  • 5+ Years of experience in intermediary sales that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Licenses required upon hire
  • Group Benefits Sales Experience (Preferred)
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
