About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Run equipment that chemically cleans grease, scale, dirt, and other foreign matter from metal objects to prepare them for galvanizing
- Load objects onto cranes, racks, or containers for transport through chemicals and rinsing baths
- Examine cleaned objects to ensure standards are met
- Follow safety rules and regulations
- Report hazards, violations, or injuries to the Team Leader, regardless of severity
- Work overtime and weekends as required by Team Leaders to meet customer needs
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED, preferred
- Must be able to adhere to Lindsay policies and procedures while maintaining a safe work environment
- Must be willing to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push/pull/lift up to 50 lbs., and reach to perform job functions
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with cold, heat, bright sun, noise, and nuisance dusts
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to add and subtract using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
- Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including metguard boots, protective eyewear, hard hats, gloves, and ear plugs
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Both English and Spanish Speaking individuals are encouraged to apply
