About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Learn about Lindsay’s products, international and domestic distribution channels, procedures, personnel, production locations, philosophies, and strategies
  • Assist and perform department functions, including purchasing/planning for selected product lines
  • Monitor inventory levels
  • Use capacity and priority to manage supply chain for production, purchase, and/or stock transfer orders
  • Document procedures, analyses, attendance, and meeting documentation
  • Undertake an assigned supply chain project and present it to Lindsay leadership
  • Provide analytical support in strategic supply, tactical supply, enterprise planning, and supply chain design and analytics
  • Act as liaison between departments through meetings, telephone contact, and written correspondence
  • Learn relevant enterprise resource planning, demand analysis, and sales and operations planning software

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Current Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status working towards a Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or related field of study
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize problems and recommend solutions to problems
  • Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to utilize business sense and creativity to develop ideas and solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written skills necessary in order to communicate intricate job-related processes, procedures and decisions to internal customers
  • Organizational skills including the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create basic reports, documents, presentations and spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
  • Up to 10% travel
