About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with interpreters across Linguava’s network
  • Create opportunities for interpreters to connect with Linguava, one another, and its mission
  • Develop outreach and engagement strategies to activate inactive, underutilized, or disconnected interpreters
  • Gather interpreter feedback and identify improvements to their experience
  • Support interpreter recruitment and network growth with the Recruiting team
  • Identify outreach channels including community organizations, professional associations, educational programs, industry events, and social networks
  • Develop targeted recruitment campaigns based on priority languages, locations, client needs, and service gaps
  • Represent Linguava at interpreter events, community gatherings, conferences, career fairs, and other activities
  • Build relationships with interpreter organizations, schools, professional associations, and community groups
  • Share Linguava’s mission, opportunities, services, and interpreter experience
  • Partner with Operations, Recruiting, Interpreter Relations, and leadership to address demand and coverage gaps
  • Develop programs connecting interpreters to priority clients, geographies, languages, assignments, and locations
  • Coordinate continuing education, professional development, CEU opportunities, and interpreter education programs
  • Communicate client-specific requirements and professional expectations
  • Conduct proactive outreach and re-engage inactive interpreters
  • Identify trends and bring actionable insights to internal teams
  • Collaborate with Recruiting, Interpreter Relations, Operations, Client Success, and leadership
  • Create feedback loops between interpreters and internal teams
  • Maintain an annual calendar of engagement, recruitment, community, and professional development activities
  • Coordinate events, vendors, communications, materials, and logistics
  • Track participation, outreach activity, engagement, and recruitment results
  • Analyze feedback and improve engagement and recruitment programs
  • Manage program-related budgets and resources as needed
  • Travel throughout Oregon, with occasional out-of-state travel and evening or weekend events

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2+ years of experience in customer success, customer or vendor relations, interpreter relations, community engagement, credentialing, or a related field
  • Experience building relationships and conducting proactive outreach
  • Experience working in language services, healthcare, interpretation, translation, or a related field
  • Experience working as an interpreter or directly with interpreters
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
  • Comfort representing an organization at community events and professional gatherings
  • Ability to travel throughout the Portland metro area and occasionally elsewhere as needed
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and providing an excellent experience for interpreters and clients
  • Experience developing community engagement, outreach, or activation programs
  • Experience working with professional associations, educational institutions, or community organizations
  • Familiarity with healthcare interpreting standards, credentialing, or continuing education requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Google Workspace
  • Microsoft Office
  • CRM, interpreter management, or scheduling systems
  • Reporting dashboards and basic data analysis
  • Survey or feedback tools
  • Ability to learn new systems and technology quickly
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to meet hybrid in-office expectations 3 days per week at the Portland HQ
