About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the Legal department’s owner for multi-year Legal Technology transformation initiatives
- Oversee the Legal department program budget and keep Legal Leadership apprised of progress and concerns
- Maintain familiarity with the legal technology stack and collaborate with Legal and IT teams to redesign and streamline workflows
- Identify process optimization opportunities and participate in mapping future-state process designs
- Build workflows in low-code/no-code legal technology solutions, including CLM and ELM tools, and oversee day-to-day upkeep
- Ensure technology decisions and configurations align with evolving Legal department business needs
- Serve as the day-to-day liaison with Link’s Technology team for implementations, troubleshooting, and enhancements
- Triage and manage business-side support requests and escalations, coordinating root-cause resolution with Technology
- Maintain standard form agreements, intake forms, templates, playbooks, workflows, FAQs, and quick reference guides
- Partner with Legal Operations leadership to align technology strategy with departmental and business goals
- Advise on emerging legal technologies, including AI, automation, and analytics, to increase productivity and efficiency
- Deliver training initiatives to maximize tool utilization across the legal team and business partners
- Coordinate discovery, requirements gathering, recommendations, UAT, defect tracking, and business readiness for go-live
- Identify, track, and interpret key performance metrics across legal technology platforms
- Demonstrate return on investment and identify opportunities for further automation or process improvement
- Drive change-management activities and communications to ensure adoption of Legal Technology initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
- 8+ years of experience in legal operations, legal technology, or a related technology-management role within an in-house legal department or law firm innovation/operations function
- Experience leading the business side of legal technology platforms such as Ironclad, Litify, Josef, and Legal Tracker, or comparable CLM, matter management, or e-billing tools
- Ownership of implementations, system enhancement opportunities, process improvement, training, and adoption across platforms
- Prior hands-on experience as a developer or administrator
- Ability to apply technical background to low-code/no-code legal technology solutions, such as CLM and ELM
- Practical experience building workflows in AI-based tools such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or Harvey
- Experience defining governance, evaluation criteria, and use-case prioritization for AI-assisted legal workflows
- Systems thinking at a portfolio level and ability to connect legal business strategy to a coherent operating model across systems
- Comfort with ambiguity and change in evolving environments
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
- Executive-level written and verbal communication and ability to influence across varied audiences
- Preferred: Experience in commercial real estate, industrial, or another asset-intensive industry
- Preferred: Familiarity with Salesforce, SharePoint, and Yardi
- Preferred: Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models, including backlog input, UAT, and sprint participation
- Preferred: Active participation in the legal operations ecosystem through organizations such as CLOC, ACC Legal Operations, or LegalOps.com, or equivalent industry certifications and credentials
