About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Report directly to the CFO.
  • Lead the Accounting team and oversee financial operations as the company scales.
  • Oversee monthly and quarterly close processes, payroll, billing, AR/AP, general ledger, and revenue recognition.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP, tax regulations, and industry compliance standards while mitigating financial risks.
  • Drive the annual financial audit with external auditors and partner with tax advisors on federal and state tax filings.
  • Manage treasury functions, including bank accounts, debt facility, compliance reporting, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Develop and implement scalable financial systems and processes.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales, HR, leadership, and other departments to optimize financial performance and operations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP and the ability to communicate complex accounting issues to both finance and non-finance personnel
  • Experience managing a team and mentoring staff accountants.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks and Maxio) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Monitoring of company T&E policy and expense management via Brex
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex accounting issues.
  • Proven experience in automating accounting processes and implementing accounting systems
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
