About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive visual merchandising and warehouse logistics strategy
- Lead and develop the merchandising team
- Ensure high standards of visual presentation and operational efficiency
- Optimize staffing and scheduling
- Oversee merchandising team training and leadership skill development
- Manage merchandising, visual presentation, labeling, and Sales Merchandising Fundamentals execution
- Train team members on the selling model and guest engagement
- Maintain inventory accuracy and minimize inventory adjustment losses
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse operating environment
- Conduct monthly standard work evaluations
- Address performance gaps through management and business planning
- Document team growth and development, index talent, and develop leadership skills
- Track and improve standard work inconsistencies
- Build and lead the merchandising team to achieve goals
- Foster relationships with internal teams, vendors, distribution centers, and cross docks
- Adhere to company standard operating policies and procedures
- Engage with guests, provide sales assistance, and uphold exceptional guest service
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college in business, design, retail management, sales, merchandising, or related field preferred
- 5 years experience in a direct customer interactive environment required; high volume
- 3 years of management experience required
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
