About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the execution of credit risk mitigation tools, maximising limits available and enabling additional business to be written
  • Manage and improve credit risk mitigation tools on behalf of the Commercial Bank
  • Upskill and work specifically with Credit Risk Insurance and Credit Default Swaps
  • Engage with Coverage, Product, Credit, Finance and Treasury colleagues to deploy credit risk mitigation tools
  • Enable deeper client relationships while reducing the bank’s risk and capital
  • Analyse data and intelligence from multiple sources to develop risk mitigation tools
  • Maintain relationships with internal partners and the external market to provide growth opportunities
  • Develop the Commercial & Institutional Bank’s understanding of risk mitigation tool options
  • Help bring risk mitigation solutions into credit and pricing conversations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience within financial services
  • Good stakeholder management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain complicated concepts concisely and fully to less familiar audiences
  • Ability to collaborate and build and maintain positive links with internal and external groups
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple deliverables in a timely and effective manner
  • Good Excel skills
  • Methodical and analytical approach to decision making
  • Ability to present complex information simply
  • Strategic approach with the ability to think laterally, be innovative and find creative solutions
  • Desire to learn and ability to understand, evaluate and execute transactions
  • Good grasp of products and services beneficial
  • Understanding of the Group’s capital management framework beneficial
  • Knowledge or experience of credit risk mitigation tools ideal
