About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Cover a portfolio of Global Banks and incorporate a forward view of horizon risks into credit papers and discussions
  • Support new business origination within the FI growth strategy by assessing and shaping live transactions
  • Conduct client due diligence meetings
  • Contribute to sector strategy and appetite setting
  • Contribute to changes in credit policies and processes
  • Build positive relationships with Coverage and Product colleagues
  • Help drive collegiate working across FI Credit
  • Take ownership of data integrity
  • Champion simplification initiatives
  • Initially conduct credit analysis and make recommendations on lending/trading limits and new transaction requests
  • Progress toward delegated credit authority and make decisions on the Banks portfolio
  • Collaborate on other FI portfolios, including Insurance, Securitisations, Financial Sponsors and Funds

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Sound understanding of credit risk assessment of Banks
  • Robust understanding of FI sectors and products, ideally with experience of credit in Banks
  • Excellent knowledge of lending and traded products and documentation
  • Formal Credit training preferred
  • Self-motivated and strong willingness to learn
  • Ability to quickly up-skill regarding new products, sectors and external-environment changes
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to present complexity understandably
  • Comfortable with numerical analysis
  • Exceptional organisation skills
  • Ability to juggle multiple requests, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work as a team player in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to coordinate multiple work streams and deliver against tight timelines
  • Ability to build and maintain trusting stakeholder relationships
