About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide regulatory policy leadership across Lloyds Banking Group on the assigned portfolio
- Provide advice and analysis to the executive of the UK’s largest retail and commercial bank
- Lead focus on the consumer agenda while contributing across other regulatory topics
- Partner with and convene senior leaders and key group areas to define evidence-based policy priorities
- Create persuasive messages and deliver policy priorities
- Distil complex regulatory policy into clear communications, policy positions, and external regulatory input
- Monitor and assess regulatory developments and trends
- Develop a strong network of external relationships to maintain effective dialogue and information flow
- Foster an agile, engaged, motivated, and collaborative team of professionals
- Work across changing issues in a fast-paced environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience working in a Communications role within a Financial services, Investment Banking, or Pensions organisation
- Experience working within a Group Corporate Affairs function at executive level, leading a team of qualified communications professionals
- Keen awareness and thorough understanding of regulatory and economic trends
- Track record of generating ideas for policy solutions
- Relevant external network
- Relevant technical regulatory experience
- Understanding of how the financial services regulatory landscape fits together
- Outstanding stakeholder management skills
- Evidence of delivering effective advocacy programmes
- Understanding of the commercial strategy and how it links with external policy
- Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills
- Dedication to fostering diverse, inclusive and high-performance teams
- Energy and passion to enhance the reputation and interests of the Group
