About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead production of accurate statutory and regulatory reporting information for the investment portfolio
  • Manage month-end close and quarterly Solvency UK/II asset reporting
  • Lead annual production of climate reporting figures
  • Manage and develop direct reports, supporting career development
  • Analyse and challenge large data sets and resolve issues with external parties and internal stakeholders
  • Build understanding of customer data requirements and embed them into team processes
  • Develop relationships with third-party service providers, internal asset-data customers and Finance colleagues
  • Lead process improvements, automation and digital activity using Power BI, Power Query and Power Automate
  • Provide analysis of financial performance, key drivers and business outcomes
  • Lead and support change initiatives and projects, including process, system and reporting upgrades

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relevant qualification in accounting or finance
  • Experience in financial reporting under IFRS and Solvency II/UK frameworks
  • Experience in investment reporting
  • Understanding of key data attributes relevant to Wealth & Insurance markets
  • Ability to examine data and transform it into clear, meaningful insights
  • Demonstrable experience in process refinement, automation and change projects
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • Experience in, or willingness to learn, the PCAF framework for greenhouse gas emission calculations for loans and investments
  • Experience managing multiple direct reports and supporting their career development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in, or willingness to build skills with, data analysis and automation tools, particularly Power BI, Power Query and Power Automate
