About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver offensive security testing across a wide range of technologies and platforms
- Plan, execute and report on penetration testing engagements
- Test web, API, mobile, infrastructure and cloud assets
- Perform manual exploitation and post-exploitation activities
- Review findings to ensure high-quality outputs
- Contribute to repeatable detection mechanisms identifying recurring weaknesses at scale
- Support the Group’s security posture and enable safe, rapid product change
- Engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Develop penetration-testing expertise within a large, regulated financial services environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience as a penetration tester
- Strong experience in at least three of: Web, API, Mobile, Infrastructure, Cloud, including cloud-native technologies, or AI testing
- Relevant security testing certification such as CREST (CRT, CCT), OSCP, OSCE, GPEN or GXPN
- Demonstrable knowledge of common security vulnerabilities, including the OWASP Top 10
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborative approach and passion for continuous learning and improvement
- Experience in a large enterprise or regulated environment is desirable
- Exposure to building or improving in-house security testing capabilities is desirable
- Experience designing scalable detection mechanisms for recurring security weaknesses is desirable
- Knowledge of financial services technology environments is desirable
